Lots of White Sturgeon, Large Rainbow Trout, Kokanee, Walleye and Smallmouth are caught here, among some other species. One angler recommends a boat here the best mobility and versatility. Although you can definitely still fish from the bank in lots of access points.
The Spokane arm is productive for some of the larger rainbows, and the Walleye numbers are great and many quality fish are being surveyed as of 2024. There should be a lot of great opportunities for numbers and size of Walleye in the next few years.
The Columbia is famous for so many amazing things. Let's start by saying everything grows huge in this river. It spans through British Columbia, Washington bordering Oregon as well and heads for the ocean. It contains over 60 fish species! The main attractions include giant White Sturgeon, great Smallmouth Bass fishing, huge Walleye, and populations of Salmon and northern Trout species, and even a popular American Shad run! There is so much to break down about this entire eco system, but this is a great place to start. There is always so much to learn about a system this large, but as mentioned. Huge Washington waterbody with dozens of fish species right in Seattle. Mainly Coastal Cutthroat, Large and Smallmouth Bass, Yellow Perch and Crappie are the main attractions for anglers at this lake. There are also opportunities at all 3 of the main salmon species when they come in.
Based on Olympic National Park, Ozette is a unique fishery with various anadromous fish that migrate through it. It has resident Coastal Cutthroat which are a unique attraction, but it actually tends to be a decent Largemouth fishery, and it's loaded with Pikeminnow (Squawfish). Which are very unique and fun to catch! It's actually Washington's 3rd largest lake but not many people have heard of it before. Lots of people boat here, and it's recommended to fish from a boat although there is shore access.
Washington's largest lake in volume. Lake Chelan hosts large Lake Trout, Chinook Salmon, and big Rainbow Trout. Fishing is open year round here, but it is advised to refresh on regulations here. There are also Burbot and Kokanee Salmon here. This is a fantastic fishery with really big Lakers and Kings! It seems to fish great during the winter months but it kicks out big fish throughout the year! There are guide options here as well.
