Lake Roosevelt

Washington

This is a famous impoundment because it's named after Franklin D. Roosevelt who was president during the building of the dam in 1941. Cool fun fact!

Lots of White Sturgeon, Large Rainbow Trout, Kokanee, Walleye and Smallmouth are caught here, among some other species. One angler recommends a boat here the best mobility and versatility. Although you can definitely still fish from the bank in lots of access points.

The Spokane arm is productive for some of the larger rainbows, and the Walleye numbers are great and many quality fish are being surveyed as of 2024. There should be a lot of great opportunities for numbers and size of Walleye in the next few years.
