Alaska
2 really cool options come out of the Brooks range. One, lots of Lake Trout Lakes. Many of which do not see much pressure. There are plenty of sizable hungry fish that cruise the shallows in late June or early July. You'll want to target the ice recession and if timed correctly, it can be a deadly time to catch fish.
Option 2 is many of the rivers flowing north out of the Brooks range are ocean run Char or Dolly Varden factories. Again, if timed correctly, you can have the chance at some beautiful monstrous char. You almost certainly need a flyout charter or need to plan on doing some serious trekking to reach some of these areas. Worth a trip to target fish of such beauty and rarity.
