Chukchi Sea (Kotzebue)

Alaska

Created by potrace 1.10, written by Peter Selinger 2001-2011

The Chukchi Sea is one of the very few places in the world where you can ice fish saltwater, and it's home in the late winter months to hoards of giant Sheefish. Although it is relatively remote, very few places provide access to fish of this caliber, especially ice fishing opportunities for them. Commercial flights happen daily from Anchorage to Kotzebue, and then you're within a (relatively) short snow machine ride to the fish.
