Description

The Spotted Bass is a member of the sunfish and black bass families, similar to a largemouth bass. Spots can grow to lengths over 20 inches and are native to the Mississippi River basin, and the states bordering the gulf of mexico. They have also been introduced to other areas in the world. They are similar in looks to a largemouth, but they are noted by their spotted backs and vertical bars on their sides.

Habitat

Warm rivers, lakes and ponds, as well as somewhat deep reservoirs.
