Description

Pallid sturgeons have a flattened, shovel-shaped snout, a long, slender, and completely armored caudal peduncle, and lack a spiracle. Their color is grayish-white dorsally and white ventrally. They are one of the largest and longest-lived freshwater fish species in North America.
