Also known as: little tuna, false albacore
Little tunny (also called false albacore) has a robust, torpedo-shaped body with a metallic blue-black back featuring distinctive wavy black lines and spots below the pectoral fin. The belly is silvery white. It has a series of small finlets behind the second dorsal and anal fins. Distinguished from other similar tuna by the dark spots between the pectoral and ventral fins and its wavy markings on the back.
