Description

Burbot are related to ling cod but live in freshwater, cold lakes. They typically feed on bottom and spawn in big groups suspended. They are great to eat, and a truly unique species. They are popular for ice fishing and night fishing. They are slender, brown colored, with black and yellow squiggle like markings with flat mouths and barbels, with a long skinny tail sort of like an eel.
